Have you heard of Mimolingo? Not Duolingo, but Mimolingo! It's the latest method of group language learning that combines movement, facial expressions, and imitation. In short, action + play = effective learning. How does it work? The goal is to dynamically practice and long-term retention of vocabulary in your memory. The outcome of the lesson is that you act out a real-life scene on a specific topic, such as at the doctor's, at a family celebration, on the bus, and so on. No textbooks, no lengthy explanations of grammar. Instead, through movement games with words, you will learn to speak sentences that make sense in your contexts, and you will have fun in group! No desks, sitting, or writing, because here we will play, jump around, imitate—from words to entire dialogues—in pairs and as a whole group!
Mimolingo is divided into several modules that you can complete separately, but it is better to follow them in order. Each module contains 8 lessons, including 6 thematic and humorous dialogues for basic situations and 2 review lessons. For each lesson, students receive a PDF with the dialogue and a list of vocabulary that is covered.
The aim of these meetings is not only to improve your Spanish, but also to relax, play, laugh, and really feel the language with your whole body. Come and try it at least once! Why Mimolingo? The name "Mimolingo" does not mean that you will be left out—on the contrary! "Mimo" represents mimicry and "lingua" means language. Through movement and imitation (similar to the TPR method), you engage not only your language but also your body. Your memory will thank you for it, because learning is natural and fun. If you want to really experience Spanish, you don't have to travel to Spain – just join Mimolingo!
